Angola is a Southwestern African country rich in diamonds and oil preserves but mired by corruption, grinding poverty, widespread illiteracy, and a high infant mortality rate. Angola is also the native country of Africa's richest woman, billionaire Isabel dos Santos, who herself is the daughter of former Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

A trove of recently released documents paint a telling picture of Isabel's fortune, revealing that she took of a cut of Angola's wealth through decrees signed by her father during his time as President. A global network of consultants, lawyers, bankers, and accountants from the world's leading professional service firms--including American-based Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, and PriceWaterhouseCooper--facilitated her efforts to profit from her country's wealth, all at the expense of her country's people.
