On Tuesday April 17, 2018 Ian fell off a porch that was 6 feet high. As a result of the fall, he sustained a traumatic brain injury- bleeding on the brain, skull fracture and hematoma on the left side of his brain.
A craniectomy was performed to relieve pressure and allow his brain to swell. The hematoma has affected his speech and movement on the right side of his body.
After nearly two weeks in ICU his high flow oxygen tubes have been removed, which allowed him to be transferred to intermediate care. Ian currently has a feeding tube and is breathing room air. We are hopeful this tube will be removed soon.
Ian is a wonderful husband and excellent daddy to our beautiful 7 year old daughter Diamond. Ian is one of the smartest and creative people I know. I often encouraged him to become an Engineer. Ian is described by friends and family as a sweet person, kind hearted, giving, loyal, funny and never a dull moment around him.
Ian is the sole provider for his family. Anything you can contribute to current monthly and future expenses will be greatly appreciated and helpful to the family. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
