Last year, Saqiba and her friends had staged protests at the Quetta Press Club against the suspension of classes in the college. Their ‘rebellion’ had irked the school principal and the administration. She and her friends were forced to make an apology for their behavior. They submitted written apologies too but persistent tensions continued until the young student committed suicide last week.
