There is a seminar taken place in Irvington and I feel that this a MUST attend for all the men and women of God that believe that domestic violence is a sin before God. I will have a very special co-host on The one and only Melissa Holmes of Love Shouldn't Hurt. She has a testimony and now she is telling and sharing.     After surviving two abusive relationships, Melissa Holmes started Love Shouldnt Hurt as a secret group on Facebook. Ms. Holmes was looking for an arena to vent, post and provide support for people who have also suffered abuse. LSH started with about 30 members, this group now has over 1000 members worldwide. Love Shouldnt Hurt is giving a sense of purpose through our daily prayers and supportive posts, motivating people to leave abusive situations, and helping victims heal after abusive relationships. There have been occasions where LSH has assisted victims escape from their abusers. Since 2010 LSH has encouraged, enhanced,empowered and elevated Domestic Violence awareness in our forum. That's want I thought.   But the sad part about it  is that Christmas has turned into the retail hell. People will go to the stores and buy what they can't afford going into credit card debt in order to give gifts . Are the decorate their homes to the point that the lights are blinding . In one breathe they say they love you but in the next they are slapping you.  I had a friend who was a MInister's wife. She was so happy when they first got married but as time went by and she started having his children the verbal and emotional abuse turn physical . She would go to church with bruises on her face and no one wouls say a word. She is the first lady yes but she needed help and the church failed her. She did get out thank you God but the scars of the emotional abuse from the church was with her for years. Let's come and talk about. I am honoed to have  as a  co-host Taryn Booker the  Founder @ M.A.D.V Ministries Against Domestic Violence. She is a wonderful woman of God ,an Advocate and a  victorious survivor. You will receive encouragement and enlightment from this daughter of God. In Ephesians 5:22  it says Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. But also in Ephesians 5:25  it says Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; . If this is true should a husband lay down his life for his wife.
