I believed this for many years until the mystery and revelation of the cross was, and still is, being unfolded to me regarding the inward and outward manifestations of pain, rejection, ridicule, and loneliness that carrying such a spiritual object will bring. Not only that, this spiritual object won't lift until we carry it for how long and how far our Golgotha may be. If you are like me, at times you have put down your cross when it seemed to be too heavy only to have too pick it up once again, thus the reality that we must come to a place as Jesus did when he said, "if thou will, remove this cup of suffering from me, never the less, not my will but your will be done"! Only then after the completion of our Crucifixion, can we then rise with the father in complete, experienced victory, just as the son. You are not cursed but crossed because christ has redeemed us from the curse of the  law...Gal:3:13-14! What you are experiencing is a Crucifixion. It is my belief that the cross represents all people; standing vertically pointing the way too God, and horizontally, the many who are going too and fro looking for the true and living God. Until we come to the reality and power of the cross, we continue to go, "to and fro" looking for the  thing(s) that can satify the deep craving of love and acceptance that only God can provide.
