Guitarist Richard Smith is one of the most prolific and popular veterans lighting up Contemporary Jazz. Each of his 10 solo discs has reached the top of the charts, while garnering awards such as ‘Best New Artist’ (Radio & Records Magazine) and ‘Best Album of the Year’ (Tune Up Magazine). Bringing together the best in contemporary jazz, Richard brought together L.A. Chillharmonic in the likes of Philharmonic orchestras brining together the best in the classical genre. Now, he is back in 2011 with a release that is a do with Sicilian Guitar Virtuoso Francesco Buzzurro. In addition, he is a Full Professor and former Chair of the Studio/Jazz Guitar department at the renowned Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
