After several decades as a successful executive in the world of Public Relations and Marketing, our guest Emily Rubin went to graduate school because she wanted,”..to be of service to people”. Emily became a social worker and says,”I loved that experience, was trained as a community organizer and value the profession, but I hadn’t yet found my ‘sweet spot’. She was introduced to Life Coaching and as she tells us,”…my realization that life coaching was the nexus if what I’d been looking for my entire professional life”. Today, she is a Certified Professional Life Coach and says, “I describe my coaching style as an iron fist in a velvet glove-compassionate and tough at the same time.I am a tenacious cheerleader for my clients even when they do not feel like cheering for themselves.” Emily is happily ensconced in her coaching career and tells us,”I find that coaching is by far the most fulfilling, joyful work I have ever done. There is nothing that makes me happier than when a client has that ’aha’ moment when there is clarity, relief,or even pain-anything that can help them release the blocks to their goals and dreams.
