Albert Speranza, MD is our guest today and he likes,”helping people solve problems that they previously considered to be unsolvable". He accomplishes this in his psychotherapy practice which consists of three components:
-Developing a daily relaxation practice using your breath to calm your mind and body.
-Engaging in a conversation that focuses on the stressful circumstances to better understand the root cause of the stress.
-Creating a specific plan through continuing conversation to reduce or eliminate the cause of the stress and maintain that success.
Albert’s practice goes beyond basic psychiatric protocols adding relaxation through breath work and meditation and offering, to those open to it, spiritual insights and support. He tells us,”Incorporating these healing practices into my psychotherapy practice over time gave birth to what I now call permanent stress reduction.
