“Pain is a protective device’’, says our guest, Tracey Vincel, Physical Therapist. She continues,”So when we are getting physical pain we need to consider WHY has our brain decided that I need pain? What is dangerous in my life? This is where it gets interesting and very personal. Some times its very obvious but other times it is deep in the subconscious and we have to dig deeper to understand it. This is why Tracey starts by listening to her patients to help figure out why they are in pain and how it can be taken away and prevented from returning. As she says,”What choices they can make to move in the right direction. That could mean a specific movement or exercise,a thought they have or the way they breathe. We help reorganize and re-pattern the body and mind. We nurture and strengthen a NEW IDEA and help our patients to FEEL something different”.In addition to the years of studying the physical body, even going to The University of Queensland in Australia to study the spine in a one year Masters program, Tracey has recently been drawn more to spirit. She studied ancient sciences of Ayurveda and Tibetan Medicine and visited spiritual locations in India,Japan and Mexico.Today she includes physical and spiritual aspects in her healing work.
