Again, we start with a question. Why is this wellness series interviewing an Interior Designer? The answer is, our guest, Kim DePole “Creates spaces that are launching pads for healing”. Kim who has personal yoga and meditation practices attended Parsons School of Design to study Fine Arts. She tells us,”My method of communication has always been through visual arts”.Having worked in the corporate job as a product designer for a travel accessory company, Kim moved to Tokyo which she says,”…was the catalyst for my interest in interiors”.She set up her interior design firm, Kim Depole Design upon returning from Japan.Kim has reached a point in her life where she wants to”give back” thus, her current direction to design interiors of medical/hospital offices that can facilitate healing.In our interview, she speaks of plans for work in dental offices and pediatric wards in hospitals. She shares with us her wonderful vision for the future.
