Studied acting at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse under Sanford Meisner.
Was raised in Canada.
She was one of the the last people to see actress Sharon Tate alive. She visited Tate at her Benedict Canyon home for lunch on the afternoon of August 8, 1969. Later on that night, the pregnant Tate and four others were brutally murdered by the Manson gang.
She was the companion and caregiver for Sir Alan Bates towards the end of his life. The two actors were long-time friends since they co-starred on Broadway in 1964's "Poor Richard".
Niece of actress Kathleen Tremaine.
Cousin of writer David Dalton.
