Join Dan Wilson (FL) and Gary Rumer (ND) as we welcome Nadia Bodkin. Nadia Bodkin founded a rare disease patient advocacy group in 2010 dedicated to serving the community of people affected by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, called EDSers United. Within the following six years of EDSers United's incorporation, Nadia became very involved in advocacy work within the general rare disease community, serving leadership roles within rare disease coalition groups and organizations. In 2015, Nadia and her team at EDSers United recognized over 22 EDS dedicated nonprofit organizations that had been launched as a direct result of an increase in diagnosis rates for EDS and decided to adjust the declared mission to meet the current needs of the community by focusing efforts on developing the Wellness Institute for Rare Conditions (WIRC).
