Visit our new site: http://BrummetMedia.ca or visit our blogwww.consciousdiscussions.blogspot.com. The World of Writing series began as a tool to share helpful information that will empower you when it comes to the world of writing. We cover a wide array of topics from literacy to bookstores, poetry to resumes and the many careers in the many genres of writing. Sometimes offering interviews and quotes, resources - answers to listeners’ questions, and more. Today’s featured guest:  Cheryl Kerr - a native Texan who has written a military-based book titled “See Ya”, which she hopes will help people connect with their loved ones, no matter how late in life, and help people feel less alienated. When Cheryl's father died, she realized, as many people do, that she did not really know him growing up. Her book tells a story similar to hers about a character named Manda who yearns to know more about the kind of man her father was after his sudden death. Manda embraces a quest to figure out the kind of man her father was. She journeys with a young man looking for his actual father, a German POW who had been missing since the war. Cheryl Kerr has published columns, essays and articles in newspapers and periodicals. She has also published a book on employment law. See Ya is her second novel.
