Kala Holton discusses her book “Broken and Alone”.  In her book, Kala takes you through a foster child’s struggle as she tries to repair broken relationships while entering and exiting the system; showing the isolation and loneliness she ensues. Separated from her sister and raised in an orphanage, Jennifer reaches maturation and is now on her own.  Armed with a bus ticket and suite case she returns to her birth town on her quest to find her birth parents.  There she quickly discovers that sometimes family doesn’t have to be blood.  This Christian author has experienced the foster care system firsthand, and therefore encourages others who also have to know they too can heal from the pain of the past and be inspired in the process!  Listeners are welcome to dial in at 657-383-0898 to join us!  Or, by clicking here to listen in:
