Senator Joseph McCarthy was the leading American anti-communist figure in the late 1940s and early 50s. Senator McCarthy received his law degree from Marquette University in 1935. Eleven years later, he was elected to the U.S. Senate.

In the late 1940s, Russian spies infiltrated the profoundest levels of the United States government. The Communist Jews Julius and Ethel Rosenberg had stolen the plans to the nuclear bomb. The couple was tried, found guilty, and later executed to death. America was threatened by its enemy in the Jewish Russian Bolshevist Soviet Communist nation. When Senator Joseph McCarthy learned of the Jewish Russian infiltration of Washington, DC, he was determined to reveal this information to the American people.
