I will be interviewing Michael Notaro, of Alameda, California, who is President of Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of meeting locations. Mr. Notaro is an attorney, member of the Italian American Bar Association, principal of the Notaro Law Group and a licensed real estate broker.  In our discussion we will talk about the value of public speaking in the information age, and how volunteer Toastmaster Clubs can bolster individuals’ skills in organizing and delivering speeches in a variety of formats.  Has Toastmasters and public speaking changed over the years?  Are there some “tried and true” public speaking tips that hold constant?  Finally, how do traditional public speaking skills and modern day online social media tools mesh?  Mr. Notaro will close our interview with notes on Toastmasters resources and upcoming events.
