Rob Walker (@rwalk03) is a staff writer at Into the Calderón and the guest on this edition of Colchonero Chat. He joins the season’s penultimate episode to talk about Diego Godín’s final home match for Atlético Madrid — a 1-1 draw versus Sevilla.

The match itself was secondary to what took place afterward — a touching extended ceremony which saw the club and fans celebrate Godín’s nine years in the Spanish capital and send him off properly to pastures new. Rob and Jeremy discuss Godín’s legacy, where he ranks among Atlético greats and if he is at all replaceable. Attentions then turn to the game itself, which saw Atleti fail to impress but clinch second spot in LaLiga nonetheless.

Finally, the podders discuss more rumors and whether there is such a thing as too much change — a concept the club may have to face this summer with so many names linked to the exits.
