Rob Walker (@rwalk03) is a staff writer at Into the Calderón, back to making his usual Monday appearance on Colchonero Chat. He stops by the pod to discuss and debate Atlético Madrid’s 1-0 win over Málaga on Saturday.

Rob and Jeremy Beren discuss the Wanda Metropolitano’s first, action-packed day off the pitch, and the comparatively little action that took place on it. They talk about the Ángel Correa-Antoine Griezmann partnership and a role reversal of sorts that took place between those two on Saturday. They also discuss impressive performances by center backs Diego Godín and Lucas Hernández and if there are any merits to Diego Simeone’s four central midfielders all sharing the pitch.

Finally, the guys preview Atlético’s tough midweek trek to San Mamés, where they will face Athletic Bilbao. They wonder whether Griezmann’s sensational scoring record against Athletic will continue and give their scoreline predictions.
