A few people are naturally able to hear pitch perfectly.  We call that "perfect pitch".  Will you know a flat chord from any other chord if you hear it?  Sometimes musicians describe pitch as color.  I have a musician friend that hears the hum of a car engine and knows that it is in the key of A Flat, for instance.  Another friend can hear something and choose to play in the key of A, transposing it to a brighter key because it sounds more "yellow".  Whatever the case may be, we will explore what it means to write down flat chords and to find those chords so that you can play Happy Birthday to You and Twinke, Twinkle Little Star and Jingle Bells and other songs in any key you wish.  By now, you know that playing chords requires a certain set of skills.  Some individuals seem to take to learning chords and hearing chords so naturally it is hard to believe their success.  Flat chords!--What are they used for?  Tune in now as CMajor explains in her own way.  Thank you for listening!
