Hear more perpectives from one trying to help wake up this nation whose God is the LORD.  After all--he knows the same thing William Wilberforce found out--we must also serve
God in politics and that when we do--great things can happen.   John Newton who was a captain of a slave ship wrote one of the world's favorite hyms-Amazing Grace.  John Newton mentored William Wilberforce who was a Christian that had to come to terms on whether he was truly serving God by being involved in politics.

"But, by this time, I know you too well to fear you will think me impertinent, if I occasionally submit to you such cases as I think may have a reference to the spread of the Good Gospel, and to promote the welfare of precious souls"-- this  from a letter dated May 5,1786 from Wilberforce to John Newton.

Indeed when Christians wake up to their duty to serve God in politics--freedom and truth will reign such as when Wilberforce kept speaking truths that finally ended slavery in Great Britain.

Yes, Christians must be involved in politics out of love for God and our fellow man.
