Leashia Lewis is Assistant Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/Director of UNITAS at Villanova University. Beyond her role in athletics, Lewis is a proud mother of three, grandmother of 2 and wife. Deeping her racial equity expertise, Lewis served as a certified school counselor for 19 years and has held numerous leadership positions teaching and leading conversations related to social justice, inter relation dialogue, and anti-racism. She is familiar to the Villanova community as an adjunct professor in the Department of Education & Counseling, a board member of the Varsity Club Hall of Fame and a former student-athlete on the women's track & field team. Extending her community reach, Lewis serves on the Board for Inner strength educational program and the YMCA. 

Lewis directs the Villanova Athletics diversity, equity, and inclusion department – UNITAS – which is a framework to build a welcoming and supportive athletic department through constructive dialogs, educational programming, and community engagement. Through UNITAS, Villanova Athletics is committed to fostering an inclusive, anti-bigotry environment where every member of the community has a voice and feels respected, valued, and safe.
