Join Cheri Roberts WEDS, Aug. 10 @ 6pPDT/9pEDT w/ special guest, former IRS Appeals Officer, Robert Baty to discuss sovereign citizens like Kent Hovind and taxes along with general IRS talk. Baty was employed by the IRS for over 30-years, the last 20+ as an Appeals Officer (i.e., primarily a position specializing in settling disputed tax issues raised at the lower level and settling cases pending before the U.S. Tax Court).  Baty retired from the IRS in 2005.

Hovind is sovereign citizen Christian fundamentalist evangelist and tax protester and established Creation Science Evangelism (CSE) in 1989 and Dinosaur Adventure Land in 2001. He began serving a 10-year prison sentence in Jan 2007 for failing to pay taxes, obstructing federal agents, and structuring cash transactions.
