Part 2 of Kurt's interview with Jason King, discussing his change from wrestler to promoter and Reach Wrestling!

In last week's Part 1 of the interview, we spoke about King’s in-ring career, now in part 2 of the interview, we change from wrestler to promoter as we delve into the history of Reach Wrestling and their academy.

We talk about how King and co-owner Grayson Reeves decided to open their own wrestling company, what thought process went into naming the company ‘Reach Wrestling’ and choosing a name that isn’t going to regionalise the promotion.

Also discussed is how Reach has gone from “1 or 2 shows to see how it goes” to becoming the biggest company in the South West of England and before the pandemic, had Reach scheduled to promote the biggest show in the South West of England outside of WWE.

After discussing all things Reach and their roster, we went on to discuss the decision to open their own academy one year in and some backlash and criticism they received in doing so, despite the academy proving to be a success with many graduates moving onto their main shows and much more.
