Tonight we will speak with local Dallas activist Reggie Ruffin. Ruffin alleges Dallas police officer Kashonda Copeland #8739 falsified two police reports which resulted in two of his cars being impounded and sold a month later from the Dallas Auto Pound. Mr. Ruffin's 1988 Mercury Cougar and 2005 Suzuki Forenza were towed from in front of a neighbor's house on July 4, 2019 and sold by the Dallas Auto Pound on August 12, 2019.  The Dallas Auto Pound is run by the Dallas Police Department. "Let's Talk Fort Worth" has spoken with both the Dallas Auto Pound, IAD, and Mayor Eric Johnson's office this week about Mr. Ruffin's vehicles. Lt. Deininger and Sgt. Summer who is over the Dallas Auto Pound did find records of the 2005 Suzuki being at the Dallas Auto Pound but was still searching for records on the 1988 Cougar. We have attempted to reach Ruffin's city council person Carolyn King-Arnold unsuccessfully.
