CareGiverStory.com is proud to introduce Fernando Gerrel Jones, author of the Christian suspense novel, “The Hole” and the sociopolitical, spiritual thriller “Foolish Things” is an accomplished pastoral counselor at The Foundry Recovery Program in Bessemer, Alabama. Having spent half of his life incarcerated for murder, in one of the worst penal systems in the country, Fernando was released in October, 2012. Unable to secure employment, he was presented the opportunity to start his own business with the help of the police officer who arrested him for the crime in 1992. Enrolled at The University of Alabama @ Birmingham as a full time student, running his small lawn care service and doing “pick up jobs” to make ends meet; he was still able to make the Dean’s list and secured an academic scholarship. In addition to his other credentials, Fernando is a motivational public speaker who emphasizes overcoming the difficulties that often occur as the result of dysfunctional family systems. In his spare time he collaborates with artists to create music for the spirit. In 2014, Fernando was given a vision for a non profit organization that would be eclectic in its scope of ministry. Pneuma Gallery was born to showcase the many facets of God’s Spirit. Pneuma is the Greek word for spirit and gallery represents the multfaceted demonstrations of the Holy Spirit.
