Belinda trained with Anthony Robbins (author of Unlimited Power) and has effectively used these skills in her own life. She has completed 18 firewalks. When Belinda was forty-eight, she collapsed with herniated discs and spinal nerve damage. Threatened with paralysis by her medical doctors if she didn’t have surgery, Belinda instead chose to apply the ancient Hawaiian healing practices she had been learning the previous three years, which are covered in this book. Her back completely healed, including childhood scoliosis. For fifteen years she has been sharing these healing practices with others, offering Reconnective Healing and Huna classes and taking clients to Hawaii to teach Huna and swim with wild spinner dolphins.    00:40:00Candace Nadine BreennoSelf-Help,self-healing,Self-Healing Process,Hawaiian Huna, depressionBelinda Farrell has overcome devastating losses and shares with us her story and how she used ancient Hawaiian techniques to help her.Healthtopia for the Modern Womenhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/candidly-candace/2012/02/05/healthtopia-for-the-modern-womenWomenhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/candidly-candace/2012/02/05/healthtopia-for-the-modern-women/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/candidly-candace/2012/02/05/healthtopia-for-the-modern-womenSun, 05 Feb 2012 19:00:00 GMTHealthtopia for the Modern Women        Victory Steps is a new Christian weight loss coaching program that is specifically for women that focuses on growing spiritually, learning to manage stress, and building self-esteem. Victory Steps creator and CEO, Bonnie Mechelle is a certified fitness instructor, holistic nutritionist and life coach who lost 100 pounds in one year and who has inspired hundreds of women to lose weight and take better care of their bodies using her holistic healing and spiritual principles. ConcertLiveWire.com said the record "boasts a carefully crafted blend of violin-infused pop/rock arrangements, the occasional folk flavoring and introspective lyricism" while the Illinois Entertainer said her work is "brimming with socially conscious, and at times, intensely personal lyrics as memorable as thought-provoking." Fresh on the heels of Gravity and Faith, Harris released another record in 2008, Live at the Acorn Theater, a project which was born of converging desires to create a live record and revisit some of her earlier songs. Such a period of intense focus on her own music made it all the more refreshing when her creativity as an instrumentalist became increasingly in demand. Before the year was out Harris would find herself as a guest violinist with psychedelic 70’s legend Jefferson Starship and touring regularly with world renown trance-blues innovator, Otis Taylor, having appeared with the latter at the 2009 Blues Music Awards in Memphis (where Taylor won “Instrumentalist of the Year, Banjo"), Chicago Blues Festival, Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, Jazz Aspen Snowmass and the Telluride Blues Festival. Anne finds performing other people’s music to be an exciting opportunity for in-the-moment creativity and discovery and the experience ultimately influences her own writing, leading her into new territory. She brings listeners on a journey of healing though her troubled life beginning with child sexual assault and abuse to the powerful gift of love. She wanted to create an album that encompassed the many feeling that overcame her along the way. She wanted to break the mold and add different dimensions to typical rock music. Producer Paul Osborn, Leona Rupert and the musicians at Audio Dallas helped create an album with diversity in rock-n-roll forms. Two songs feature a guest appearance by Local blues guitarist Chris Ruest! Stefanie Jane moved to the Dallas area with her family last year to pursue her career in music. She started working with producer Paul Osborn and vocal coach Leona Rupert immediately upon arrival. She has been approached by record companies but chooses to stay an independent artist so that a larger portion of proceeds reach R.A.I.N.N. © and Stop It Now! ©. Stefanie Jane’s late father, Nathan Moore, instilled her with a passion for classic rock music. Stefanie Jane is releasing this album because she was taught, “We are what we listen to.” Feelings are portrayed in songs, but few are willing to look at both sides of pain. Each song is a story on its own, with a different form of rock music to convey a grander scope of feelings. Her songs are her own personal pep talks and she’d like to share them with other. She is the mother of 21 natural children, (18 living today) 61 grandchildren, and 55 great-grandchildren. In the late 1960's, the Hunters were faced with being evicted during a cold winter in the city of Racine, Wisconsin. However, God moved on a stranger's heart which gave the Hunter family an eighteen-room house for $1.00. She knew it was a divine intervention, so she asked God."What will you have me to do for you?" The Lord responded with a vision for the Love and Charity Homeless Mission in Racine, Wisconsin. In June 1970, Mrs. Hunter opened the Love and Charity Club, a ministry designed to distribute food and gospel tracks. She then expanded and opened the Widow's Closet, a ministry to Senior Citizens. By the late 1970's, Louise started the Love and Charity Mission. Then in the late 1980's, she opened the House of Hope a senior citizens mission. At least on some level, these cultural messages play role in why so many African American women are single. Callers are welcome to call in with questions/comments 347-996-3381. There will be a live 15 minute chat online following the broadcast. Black women have more choices than we realize-and it's time to pursue all of them-just as black men do. This book is written in the sincere belief that it's time for African American women to broaden their horizons beyond black men and become open to experiencing romantic happiness from any man whose character and interests are compatible with their own... even if that man's skin happens to be white.
