I liken every Piscean to a “psychic anemone”, where their intuitive radar is always on, and many times they will pick up and be swayed (and often frayed) by any kind of emotional energy in their immediate atmospheres. Because of this acute emotional sensitivity, “escape” is a very real need for the Piscean; how they choose to escape determines how evolved or unevolved they are. When asked how they felt 2010 was going for them, the overall response from every Piscean would be one of pleasant surprise. With Jupiter, the planet of luck and fortune travelling through Pisces for almost all of this year, every Piscean has experienced some kind of blessing, be it internal or external, spiritual or tangible. What my Fish people need to realize is – the Jupiterian benefits received this year must extend beyond the self. Why? NEPTUNE ENTERS PISCES APRIL 5TH, 2011 This may not sound like a big deal, and even on a cosmic level, the effects at first may be incredibly subtle and barely noticed to the residents of Planet Earth. But make no mistake, this planetary transition along with Jupiter's entrance into Aries on January 23rd, 2011 mark an entirely new Age of Man! Jupiter, like Neptune, will be changing signs as well in 2011 and its entrance into the very beginning of the Zodiac marks that a new page of history will be turning in the evolution of Man. Jupiter was in Aries right around the time a certain Piscean was being born a little ways back. Pretty much everything this person did, be He fictional or real, is a great model for both Piscean and non Piscean alike to follow in that He acted out of unconditional love and spiritual Universality. He even liked to use fish imagery a lot, too: “I will make you fishers of men.” - Jesus Christ, Piscean So join me won’t you? This lightest of elements then lifted from mere solitary thought to concern itself with the charming, but partly pristine partnership musings of Libra. The element of rational thought and communicative discourse now ascends to its final and highest point in the Zodiac by emerging as zephyrs of originality and innovation which fly fast and furiously across the futuristic skies that dominate the vast landscape that IS the mind of the Aquarian! Aquarius, along with Scorpio is by far THE most misunderstood sign in the zodiac. At least with Scorpio, their unevolved or bad traits are what actually do come to the general populace’s mind, but most people can’t even properly categorize what element Aquarius even belongs to, let alone any of the personality traits assigned to them...and this includes people born under the sign of quirkiness, Aquarians themselves! The house that Aquarius naturally rules is another area of hazy misunderstanding. Terms used to describe the 11th house should be said in your best New Age voice peppered with some Hippie: “Hopes…Wishes….and Dreams....Dude.” More importantly, the 11th house is the house of “groups” and as so beautifully expressed by one of my most revered authors, the Aquarian who wrote such ahead of its time pieces of intellectual genius like “To The Lighthouse”, Virginia Woolf - what better group is there in modern day society that we identify with than our group of friends! Aquarius Fun Fact: It’s no coincidence that the 2 people who are the current Titans of that very specific, dare I say, ALL CONTROLLING mode of communication, known as the “talk show” are both Aquarians- Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres! 02:00:00Brad Kronennobrad kronen, zodiac, astrology, star signs, aquariusBRAD KRONEN'S WELCOME TO THE ZODIAC SERIES “Some people go to priests; others to poetry; I, to my friends."- Virginia Woolf, Aquarian The element of air fCapricorn: The Allegorical Tale of the Life of Benjamin Buttonhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2010/09/17/capricorn-the-allegorical-tale-of-the-life-of-benjamin-buttonSpiritualityhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2010/09/17/capricorn-the-allegorical-tale-of-the-life-of-benjamin-button/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2010/09/17/capricorn-the-allegorical-tale-of-the-life-of-benjamin-buttonFri, 17 Sep 2010 03:00:00 GMTCapricorn: The Allegorical Tale of the Life of Benjamin ButtonBRAD KRONEN'S WELCOME TO THE ZODIAC SERIES “There is a gigantic difference between earning a great deal of money and being rich.” - Marlene Dietrich, Capricorn “You ask anybody what their number one fear is and it's public humiliation.” - Mel Gibson, Capricorn Capricorn author JRR Tolkien would begin writing his epic “The Lord of the Rings” on the eve of World War II, where England would be the first victim of Nazi Aggression from the constant nightly bombs of the Blitzkrieg, which begins with the sense of an ever approaching, all encompassing force of evil whose sheer purpose is annihilation. The Capricorn author shows us that there is always hope if one can adhere to focusing on one’s goals no matter how hard the obstacles in between. Amazingly, the hope of Middle “Earth” depends upon the hard working toil of a few Hobbits who literally must ascend a mammoth “mountain” to its very height or in non literary terms: a day in the life of a Capricorn! But Capricorn isn’t ALL about toil and trouble. Capricorn is the only sign of the 12 where life literally goes in reverse! I reworded the title to the film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” as “The Allegory of the Capricorn”. Capricorn and even more so Capricorn Rising people have no childhoods – they are 45 yr olds in the body of a child who must work at an extremely early age or play parent to their parent. They are very serious little children who have no time to skip, joke around or be in any way spontaneous. It is when all the other signs fall apart at “The Saturn Return” at ages 28-31 that the Capricorn comes into their own stride, and with each year afterward life gets easier, lighter, and funnier. Along with this life reversal role, Saturn rules the bones and skin, so the Capricorn literally gets better looking with age, getting more and more distinguished looking as their bone structure and skin are made sexier with time! It is here that we approach the final four signs of the zodiac and since the ego was officially killed by the flames of Scorpionic desire, Sagittarius, by being a “child of bounty”, SHOULD behave as an “ambassador to the universe” by showing the self that a much bigger plan exists – that of the Universe. I emphasize the word “should” because time and time again I find that the sign that is truly given so much not only doesn’t share their bestowed bounty but blatantly squanders it. Everything in the universe has a price, so too does being born lucky. Without a sense of discipline, work ethic, and focusing on the belief of “goodwill towards men”, dumb old luck has a way of becoming terrifying and ugly past a certain age and can end up devouring the person who possesses it, by making them the most embarrassing of hypocrites and ineffectively irresponsible with everything they do. The inherent luck of the Sagittarian is what makes them the eternal optimist, even when things seem anything BUT hopeful. The icon that I have chosen for Sagittarius is one of my best pieces of writing and my choices for Sagittarius’ Song of the Day are powerful to say the least. Both are quite apropos for these uncertain times. I urge all of you to take the time to check them out! So join me won’t you? I consider Scorpio, along with Aquarius to be BY FAR the 2 most misunderstood signs in the zodiac. Whereas Aquarius slips through the filing cabinet of categorization due to that sign's quirkiness and “out there” qualities, Scorpio’s inherent intensity and understanding of power is misinterpreted; and (like Virgo) only their unevolved characteristics seem to be the only traits that come to mind: vindictiveness with a vengeance, jealousy that borders on the psychopathic, and a sex drive that only Caligula would seem to rival. Being ruled by the planetary ruler of the underworld, Pluto, the Scorpio is truly the most “hardcore” of signs, committing only to things and people if their core emotional selves respond in its entirety. If there is ambivalence or doubt, the Scorpio simply will not bother. This “all or nothing” emotional approach is most definitely intense, but this makes the Scorpio the most loyal, steadfast and devoted of signs. If a Scorpio is on your side, then he will ALWAYS be able to be counted on, no matter how life threatening the circumstances. With that said, Scorpio is truly THE survivor of the Zodiac! Saturn's current placement in Libra will not only affect those born under the sign known for diplomacy and charm as well as chronic indecision and weak willpower, its influence will have a marked effect on society at large due to the ringed planet being exalted, or functioning best in, the sign of the Scales. With Saturn being currently exalted, I felt all 3 quotes needed to be from the same representative whose life was proof of the most evolved actions a Libran could hope to achieve. This Libran representative of evolved example was part of a famed partnership, which is the goal of every Libra, but established herself in her own individual right as a paragon of grace through diplomacy and inner resolve by being First Lady during the darkest amassed days this country has ever known in The Depression years and The Second World War as well as the first delegate to represent the United States at the UN and one of the creators and first President of the UN Commission on Human Rights. She also happens to be Brad's most admired person in history – Eleanor Roosevelt. Virgo is the first of the 3 karmic signs (Scorpio and Pisces being the other 2) and if a person is born under one of the karmic signs, their life is to be one of service to others. Virgos know this all too well since they identify themselves with their perfect (what did I tell you, there is no such thing!!!!) Although Virgo is one of, if not THE healthiest sign of the zodiac with natural/homeopathic medicines under their domain, a tendency to have a healthy regimen of daily life habits, plus keeping floors so clean you can eat off of and toilets so scrubbed you can drink out of, typical Virgoans will crumple like flies if they feel their work isn’t being appreciated or worse, if they don’t appreciate their boss! Leo begins the middle group of 4 signs in the zodiac and correlates to the ages of one’s teens to early 20’s: a time when we like to strut our stuff and look our best like the king of the jungle as well as react to just about everything during that time with more dramatic flair than Romeo and Juliet combined! Being ruled by the Sun, Leos truly love to be in the spotlight and shine, it’s when those felines can’t get enough attention and word every conversation with “Enough about me. Let’s talk about you – what do you think of my outfit?” That you begin to wonder just how WOULD their head placed in a frame look on the trophy wall of your hallway or study? Leo Fun Fact: Brad has noticed that every year as far as he can remember, of the 4 people who win THE grandest of Oscars, Best Actress/Actor and Best Supporting Actress/Actor – one, but many times, TWO are ALWAYS born under the sign of the drama queen. Not only is this reinforced by there always being 5 nominees in each category (Leo is the 5th sign of the Zodiac)but both 2009 and 2010 had FIVE nominees born under the sign of the Drama Queen competing for the final four grand drama awards! Cancer is the one sign that I consistently observe as never utilizing their inherent abilities to their full water-signed potential. Both gender variations of this sign need to remember that the best and quickest way for a human to die in Mother Nature's Queendom is to not even go looking for a fight but many times just simply cross paths 1 inch the wrong way with the young of any wild animal comparable to human size. The Mother of said wild animal whose path you just crossed 1 inch too far will make sure to show how at fault you are by killing you 10 times before you hit the ground! This primal force of The Mommy, for all Cancerians regardless of sex, can be transmuted most effectively to the human jungle we reside in today whenever they harness (and just as importantly , not hide) their intuitive and emotionally sensitive nurturing selves. Those Crustaceans who know their emotions have a water engine like life of their own and actively choose to acquiese and ride their emotional waves so that their feelings are always processed and up to date – turn out to be some of the biggest power players who yield massive gains by having their claws on the pulse of the public at large. Those Crabs that are too scared or intimidated by the power of their emotions or worse, are too influenced by others or by society and actively work on jamming, cramming, and finalisticly suppressing anything that even hints at emotion - still are Cancerians with their attachments to their homes and their mothers but because that vital emotional power is cut off and unharnessed, tend to not function as well in society. A good example of this 2nd kind of Cancerian would be Norman Bates.) So Join Me, Won't You? Give me problems, give me work, give me the most abstruse cryptogram, or the most intricate analysis, and I am in my own proper atmosphere. But I abhor the dull routine of existence. I crave for mental exaltation.” - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle “I’m getting a wrinkle above my eyebrow because I just can’t stop lifting it." - Angelina Jolie Curiosity killed the cat? More like The Gemini. Our trek through the Zodiac is never boring, the shifting of gears between signs alone is quite the entertaining experience. And this next shift is by far the most extreme! We leave the lugubrious lumberings of Taurus and propel ourselves quicker than quicksilver/than the messenger god, Hermes/than the most unevolved Twins' mouth gossipping a blue streak into the mentally curious landscape of the sign whose key phrase is “ I THINK”, Gemini. Gemini is the first representative of the element of air, an elemental which utilizes the workings of the rational mind as its primary tool to get through life. Added to this Gemini foundation of mentally stimulated rationality, The Twins are ruled by the planet that oversees all production of thought, speech and communication as well as is the fastest moving planet in our Solar System that happens to have the shortest orbit, Mercury. Mix all that mutably mental material up and you have the makings of a mentally streamlined mind that is forever young since it sees each day as a chance to learn something hitherto unkown about the world OR you have the perpetual motor mouth whose constant machine gun firings of babble reflect just how much they know a whole lot of nothin'. If we take a helicopter view of said pasture and look at this sign from a societal perspective, Taurus takes a prominent position as it represents that most primal need man has had since time began to seek shelter from the elements as well as the security all of us derive by having material possessions, tangible assets, and what was that last one? O yeah, MONEY! With Taurus' key phrase being “I HAVE” ,the steadfast and hearty Bull has always been our symbol of wealth and financial security: from the Biblical worship of the “Golden Calf” to the bull in the china shop commercials of Merrill Lynch, even to describe when the stock market is on an upswing whenever we use the word “bullish.” The Venusian themes of love, a peaceful environment, and “worth” be it romantic, aesthetic, or financial are prominent in the lives of every Taurus, but The Goddess of Beauty can be potentially lethal whenever she weaves a web of comfort and pleasantries up and over the Bull's Horns. Taurus' attachment to being all nice and comfy in their quaint cottages in the country can result in their evolutionary demise. By never experiencing the new, untried, or different from their daily routine, as well as becoming too attached to any of their “things”, the soul of the Bull risks karmic damage by remaining in their stables of sedentary stagnation. 02:01:00Brad Kronennobrad kronen, astrology, zodiac, taurus, star signsBRAD KRONEN’S “WELCOME TO THE ZODIAC” SERIES Taurus is the one sign that for some mysterious reason, has all of its inherent characteristics, be they good oAries – Straightforward & Spontaneous Self Concern or Straight Up & Simple Surly Selfishness ?http://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2010/07/21/aries--straightforward-spontaneous-self-concern-or-straight-up-simple-surly-selfishnessSpiritualityhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2010/07/21/aries--straightforward-spontaneous-self-concern-or-straight-up-simple-surly-selfishness/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2010/07/21/aries--straightforward-spontaneous-self-concern-or-straight-up-simple-surly-selfishnessWed, 21 Jul 2010 03:00:00 GMTAries – Straightforward & Spontaneous Self Concern or Straight Up & Simple Surly Selfishness ?Brad Kronen commences his well acclaimed: WELCOME TO THE ZODIAC SERIES Aries. First. Me. When you are the opening attraction to the entire Zodiac and your key phrase is the simple, in your face and blunt “I AM”, how could a Ram Child NOT be preoccupied about themselves? The Cosmic Journey begins with the sign that is all “firsts” – the first of the fire signs, the first of the cardinal signs, the first of well, anything – Aries. The spring equinox, aka the first day of spring, aka the first day of Aries, is in Astrology, the first day of the astrological year. The first house which Aries naturally rules is the house of the Self and of the actual physical body. For the Aries, Life is approached like an Olympic individual event where the “self” competes to win and usually does; and the body and its basic needs are the only things that deter them from getting the gold!. Therefore, the evolved Aries is naturally "SELF concerned" and the unevolved Aries is downright SELF-ish! Tune in on Tuesday, July 20th where I'll be asking: Aries Men, Can you tell the audience just how many scars and black eyes you've amassed so far in the boxing match that is your life? Aries Ladies, Just how many bystanders have you taken down whenever you crashed and fell in a public place (usually airborne down some form of stairs or stair case) wearing heels? As for you Ram Kids, you may want to un-busy your action oriented selves for this show since I will be discussing how 2011 should be one of the luckiest years for the Aries! So join me, won't you? I take that concept and expand further by giving each sign an “icon” - a visual image that is not the sign's symbol but is ALL about that sign, as well as a “Song of the Day”, piece of music that has either lyrics or an overall musical essence that simply IS that sign. My 4th of July show will be a very fun intro to my “Welcome to the Zodiac” Series by playing every sign's “Song of the Day”. Are you surprised to hear that exactly as the planet of rebellion, Uranus, entered the sign of violence and aggression, Aries, the bloody revolts of Kyrgyzstan occurred? Could you fall over with a feather if you knew that the events of September 11th, are literal translations of the astrological dynamics between Saturn and Pluto that were happening in the Heavens at that exact time? Not Brad. For the longest time, astrology was seen as an outdated form of scary Voodoo where an individual was warned in advance as to when to stay at home and lay shaking under the covers. It was never viewed as a useful accessory to assist with announcing and describing newsworthy events as they unfold on the world stage. Until now. Just as many of the memorable happenings in our lives coincide with the orbits of the planets affecting our birth charts, so too do the latest headlines in the news reflect planetary changes happening simultaneously in the Heavens above. After a lengthy blogtalkradio absence, Brad will be hosting a show of the most fascinating kind where he will discuss his most recently published astrological articles that coincide with the latest news headlines happening today – BP and the Gulf Oil Disaster, The Rising of the Superpower of China, South Africa and the World Cup, To name a few. Whenever Pluto needed to travel to the domain of the living, he always wore his trusty invisible helmet. Pluto rules the domain of death, and it's placement in one's chart as well as the 8th house is an area where we will be "destroyed" in order to experience transformative change. Pluto also rules anything that is core but hidden beneath the surface. Modern astrologers have given Pluto the prominence it deserves because it's placement is an area that is of very very small size but is of massively intense concentration - our most powerful subconscious drives that many of us have no control over. Pluto wore that invisible helmet because like the subconscious it goes sight unseen for quite a long time until some trivial thing triggers it and then all hell breaks loose - literally. Through Freud and other pioneering psychologists, modern man has realized that the subconscious is a force unto itself and if left ignored it can take hold of us - making us powerless to control it and dominating life until it is conquered. The same can be said with that chunk of ice we actually call Pluto, when a space probe finally reaches the outermost satellite of our Sun, I'm very sure they will be shocked the actual stuff that Pluto is made of is of the thickest density! If you still are not amused, consider this - Pluto rules the underworld in general, which includes the Mafia, it also rules fascism or anarchy type establishments as well as sexual or taboo power. With that said, is it no coincidence that Pluto was discovered in 1931 - when, in the US the Mafia clans were brutally trying to claim dominance over the post Prohibition markets as well as the Hollywood censors covering up the blatant sexuality and bawdiness American films had in the decadent 20's while in Europe, Hitler and Mussolini were beginning their ascent of fascist totalitarianism and tyranny.) Enough said! 01:30:00Brad Kronennoastrology, brad kronen, solar system, planets, plutoPluto is named for the god of the underworld in Roman mythology (Hades in Greek). It also hints at where some of us may have streaks of genius by having thoughts so brilliant and ahead of their time, they should be immediately patented! Multi Rainbow Mohawks and Chia Pet/Clap On Clap Offs aside, Uranus is not only daunting on a personal, individualized level but it is also the first of the “generational” planets which because of its far distance from the Sun and slower moving orbit, affects entire generations of us on Earth as it slowly trevails through each of the signs of the zodiac, therefore affecting the dynamics of history itself! When we take Uranus’ influence of an unapologetic flair of individuality in the individual’s birth chart and apply it to the annals of history with a generational theme we see that this planet has pretty much everything to do with: Rebellion, Anarchy, and Utopia. It still astounds me that the Planet of Rebellion was discovered in the year 1781 - smack dab in the middle of two of Western Civilization’s most violent overturnings of the status quo - The American Revolution of 1776 and The French Revolution of 1789! For as the fairytale tells us, it is only when The Beast is loved for his own sake that he can be freed from the spell and can become The Prince. Greene also states that viewing Saturn as just a one dimensional force of hardship and restriction is an archaic approach to astrology; for in order for the modern soul to evolve, nothing in today’s world can be looked at as ALL bad or good. People, none of us truly learn or grow unless there is some form of pain involved. Simply look at the outcomes of a disturbingly high percentage of large lottery winners: When barraged with a massive amount of wealth out of the blue, almost every human being fails to take proactive steps of self protection nor actually stops to think why this is occurring to them and what it means in the big picture of their lives. Only things like loss, loneliness and fear bring about these actions from us and they all reside under Saturn’s domain. I would highly recommend that two signs in particular attend this show – Virgos and Librans. In a mere matter of weeks, Saturn will be leaving the sign of Virgo after a good, long challenging stay in that sign since September of 2007! For all you Librans, Satan, I mean Santa, I mean Saturn is coming to your town! So let’s prepare ourselves shall we? Because Scale Kids, let’s put it this way, Saturn SO doesn’t like “either/or” answers and tends to respond to that kind of mental wavering with EITHER you do this OR ELSE! This was determined from my previous 2 shows where I discovered that space exploration has been practically non-exsistent for the planet of communication, Mercury or for the planet of love, Venus. However, the data for the planet of brawling and schtupping rolls across the floor – right down to “Amazon.com – Mars Merchandise” to “Google Product Search – Mars”! Many people think your Venus placement colors your sexuality, think again. Sex is under Mars’ domain – as is how fast you are, how clumsy you are, how warm you are and how hungry you get for food, work, and fist fights! Mythologically, Mars or Ares were 2 very different gods depending on whether you lived in ancient Rome or Greece. He was one of the most revered gods in Rome considering all the prestige and enthusiasm over THE most violent and bloody spectator “sports”? of all time which the Gladiators executed in the Colleseum. The ancients Greeks, however, considered any kind of overt aggression distasteful and unintelligent, so their god of war was a clumsy idiot who could even be trapped by mortals in a bottle (“bottled rage”). So join me won’t you? Because MARS ATTACKS! And for all you ladies, gay guys or married shemales, you might want to pay close attention to this one: *THE KEY TO A MAN IS HIS MARS* Mars Fun Fact: You may have seen the title of the show and thought hmmmm how thought provoking......or you may be going huh? The artsy title is from the myth of Mars' or Ares' creation. The goddess of wisdom, Athena, came into being when she literally sprung out of Zeus' head and his wife Hera was SO ticked off that she was not involved in the whole “procreation of a god” business that she blew her own blood vessels and spat forth in pure rage - the god of War, Mars. 01:30:00Brad Kronennoastrology, brad kronen, solar system, planets, marsI have come to the conclusion that human beings have no time or interest overall for such things as communication, love, or beauty; what we really care about isVenus - Love Ain't Cheaphttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/20/venus--love-aint-cheapSpiritualityhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/20/venus--love-aint-cheap/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/20/venus--love-aint-cheapThu, 20 Aug 2009 03:30:00 GMTVenus - Love Ain't CheapThe Goddess on the Mountain Top Burning like a Silver Flame The Summit of Beauty of Love And Venus was her name.” - “Venus” by the Shocking Blue Mirror, Mirror who is the fairest in the zodiac? Depends on whom or what you think is fair........or more aptly whom VENUS thinks is fair. With Venus in Sagittarius fairness comes in the form of a foreign accent. With Venus in Capricorn things get really fair in the form of the older and more experienced lover. With Venus in Aquarius, fairness is found in the male or female version of the computer geek. And if you were born during a Venus Retrograde then your version of pretty a lot of times can mean downright FUGLY to the rest of us! Venus’ main sphere of influence should be obvious when considering the Romans worshipped her as the goddess of Love and Romance. However, when we see that Venus not only rules pretty swan necked Librans but also sensual Taurus and that sign’s ruling 2nd house of MONEY, then it may just justify for those times when we dumb mortals are festooned by Cupid’s Love Arrows (the evil cherub was Venus’ kid by the way) and have giddily thrown wads of cash away which at any other time would be reason enough to check yourself into the local mental asylum! Earth’s Twin has a lot more to do with us than just l’amour. How we spend our cash, our overall aesthetics and appreciation of the “beautiful” as well as how we decorate our homes are all under the eye of VENUS! So join me won’t you? Love is a many splendored………….goddess. And for all you guys, lesbians or married shemales, you might want to pay close attention to this one: *THE KEY TO A WOMAN IS HER VENUS* Venus Fun Fact: One would think being so similar looking a "marble" as Earth and so close to us with such a sweet lovely name that the planet Venus would have a lovely terrain with picturesque views - the actual climate of Venus consists of massive storms of sulfuric acid! If Earth were the size of a baseball, Mercury would be the size of a golf ball. Viewed from Mercury, the Sun would look almost three times as large as it does from Earth. - Nick Greene, About.com Come one come all, but especially my Gemini brethren and Virgoans because my next show is all about their ruler that purposely goes backwards 3 times a year (but in 2009 it’s a straightjacket wearing 4 retrogrades this year!) We leave the Moon and the earth's orbit completely - next stop 2 planets ahead Sun wise and it's a hot tomale – Mercury! The sign that the planet Mercury was in at your birth and its house placement is all about your mental processes, how you handle and retrieve information, and how you communicate overall. Your Mercury describes how detailed (or in my case, chaotic) your thoughts are and in what manner or style you speak. - If you have a Taurus Mercury - quite literally, no bull*@*t. Short and sweet is the way for you. - If you have a Leo Mercury - is there ANYTHING that comes out of your mouth that ISN'T about you, you, you?? This speedy demon of a planet that is the closest to the Sun also is a factor when considering what type of learner we are, how fast or slow we absorb information, our manual dexterity (so Gameboy addicts this means you) as well as our affinities for such oddities as short distance trips, our siblings, our cousins and our neighbors! So join me won’t you? We’ll be talking a blue, or in Mercury’s case, a yellow streak! Mercury Fun Fact: Yes, Mercury may be considered the hyperactive, flitty planet that can’t even keep anything close to an elliptical orbit, BUT in Greek Mythology, there was only one god allowed into the Realm of the Dead, or the Kingdom of Hades and that was the messenger of the gods Himself, the FTD Florist Logo! 02:00:00Brad Kronennoastrology, brad kronen, zodiac, sun signs, mercuryNamed after the Roman god of travel and thievery, Mercury is the second smallest planet in the solar system, larger only than Pluto, the most distant planet inTHE MOON – The Smallest of Satellites is one of the Largest Determinates of Ourselves http://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/11/THE-MOON-The-Smallest-of-Satellites-is-one-of-the-Largest-Determinates-of-Ourselves-Spiritualityhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/11/THE-MOON-The-Smallest-of-Satellites-is-one-of-the-Largest-Determinates-of-Ourselves-/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/11/THE-MOON-The-Smallest-of-Satellites-is-one-of-the-Largest-Determinates-of-Ourselves-Tue, 11 Aug 2009 03:00:00 GMTTHE MOON – The Smallest of Satellites is one of the Largest Determinates of Ourselves THE MOON – The Smallest of Satellites is one of the Largest Determinates of Ourselves Did you all think that astrology was pretty much covered when we finished my “Welcome to the Zodiac” Series???? People, The Odyssey has only just begun! Brad Kronen Welcomes you to the Solar System! In this particular series, I will be discussing each of the planets in our solar system and will not only be going over their attributes and astronomical data but I will be discussing each planet’s derivation in history as well as their sources in human archetype and myth! What better place to start than from an object in the heavens which mankind has always held near and dear – The Moon. Both the Sun and the Moon are considered “planets” in astrology and both are of equal importance to one’s personality! Whenever you read your horoscope you are only reading information that pertains to that part of your personality that is blatant, obvious and outward – your “Sun” sign. The Moon is JUST as important as one’s Sun, because where the outer world sees one’s shining Sun, The Moon and its sign placement represents that part of your personality that is hidden from the outside world and is the part of you that is your most personal, private and emotional! The Moon is the first and most powerful of the “watery” or emotional planets and astrologically it encompasses WAY beyond one’s emotions – one’s overall past, one’s home (both childhood and present), as well as one’s MOTHER are all under the domain of La Luna! The Moon’s Fun Fact: Since The Moon dominates the landscape of human emotions, it should be no surprise that The Moon also deals with losing your marbles, having splinters in the windmills of your mind, or any other term dealing with LUNACY (The Latin word for Moon is “Luna”). It is a known fact that when The Moon is at the height of its waxing cycle, or “Full”, emergency rooms, mental hospitals and jails see a SPIKED level of heightened activity! 02:00:00Brad Kronennoastrology, brad kronen, planets, solar system, zodiacTHE MOON – The Smallest of Satellites is one of the Largest Determinates of Ourselves Did you all think that astrology was pretty much covered when we finisBrad Kronen's Dream Interpretation Part 2 !!!!http://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/07/Brad-Kronens-Dream-Interpretation-Part-2-Spiritualityhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/07/Brad-Kronens-Dream-Interpretation-Part-2-/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/brad-kronen/2009/08/07/Brad-Kronens-Dream-Interpretation-Part-2-Fri, 07 Aug 2009 03:00:00 GMTBrad Kronen's Dream Interpretation Part 2 !!!!Thursday, August 6th, 2009 @ 8PM, PST www.blogtalkradio.com **WE HAD TOO MUCH 2 DISCUSS IN PART 1 AND NOT NEARLY ENOUGH TIME** Naked in class again? The world is a harsh and often too shocking a place for this most sensitive of signs. I liken every Piscean to a “psychic anemone” where their intuitive radar is always on and many times they will pick up and be swayed (and often frayed) by any kind of emotional energy in their immediate atmospheres. Because of this acute emotional sensitivity, “escape” is a very real need for the Piscean; how they choose to escape determines how evolved or unevolved they are. I consider Pisces’ planetary ruler, Neptune, by FAR the most challenging of all the planets. Neptune’s domain is anything NONtangible and NONrealistic and it’s strongest allure is having one feel the need to completely lose oneself and become united with “the other”. Pisces Fun Fact: For those of you who are confused by the last name of famous Pisceans listed above and are asking yourselves “Wasn’t Jesus’ birthday December 25th?” Please read my writing piece called “Jesus Was A Pisces??? Aquarius, along with Scorpio is by far THE most misunderstood sign in the zodiac. At least with Scorpio, their unevolved or bad traits are what actually do come to the general populace’s mind but most people can’t even properly categorize what element Aquarius even belongs to let alone any of the personality traits assigned to them………...and this includes people born under the sign of quirkiness, Aquarians themselves! (For those of you who just said “That’s easy – it’s a Water Sign!” I am now placing a command in your tiny tiny subconscious minds that you WILL forget which day this show will be taking place.) I reworded the title to the film “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” as “The Allegory of the Capricorn”. Capricorn and even more so Capricorn Rising people have no childhood – they are 45 yr olds in the body of a child who must work at an extremely early age or play parent to their parent. They are very serious little children who have no time to skip, joke around or be in any way spontaneous. High school years are probably the height of their hellish time, and the college years are no picnic either. It is when all the other signs fall apart at “The Saturn Return” at ages 28-31 that the Capricorn comes into their own stride, and with each year afterwards life gets easier, lighter, and funnier. Along with this life reversal role, Saturn rules the bones and skin, so the Capricorn literally gets better looking with age, getting more and more distinguished looking as their bone structure and skin are made sexier with time!. Wednesday, July 8th, 8PM, PST We leave the dark oceanic lair of Scorpio and emerge into the golden light of in born luck that is Sagittarius. I’m stunned whenever I ask a Sagittarian “Do you consider yourself lucky?” to get a very lackluster response of “I guess.” or “Kind of.” Being ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck, fortune and opportunity, Sagittarians are walking 4 leaf clovers, possessing a knack for having the most amazing timing for being in the right place at the right time and a luck factor that leaves the rest of us speechless! But as I teach that everything in the universe has a price, so too does being born lucky. Without a sense of discipline, work ethic, and focusing on the belief of “goodwill towards men”, dumb old luck has a way of becoming terrifying and ugly past a certain age and can end up devouring the person who possesses it by making them the most embarrassing of hypocrites and ineffectively irresponsible with everything they do. Sounds like the nicest of fairy tales gone awry, doesn’t it?) The inherent luck of the Sagittarian is what makes them the eternal optimist, even when things seem anything BUT hopeful. The icon that I have chosen for Sagittarius is, I feel, my best piece of writing to date and my choices for Sagittarius’ Song of the Day are powerful to say the least. Both are quite apropos for these uncertain times. 01:30:00Brad Kronennoastrology, brad kronen, zodiac, star signs, sagittariusSagittarius: The Infectiously Optimistic or The Ineffectively Irresponsible? Kronen, Astrologer and Biggest Fan of his own jokes I consider Scorpio, along with Aquarius to be BY FAR the 2 most misunderstood signs in the zodiac. Whereas Aquarius slips through the filing cabinet of categorization due to it’s quirkiness and “out there” qualities, Scorpio’s inherent intensity and understanding of power is misinterpreted; and (like Virgo) only their unevolved characteristics seem to be the only traits that come to mind: vindictiveness with a vengeance, jealousy that borders on the psychopathic, and a sex drive that only Caligula would seem to rival. If a Scorpio is on your side, then he will ALWAYS be able to be counted on, no matter how life threatening the circumstances! With that said, Scorpio is truly THE survivor of the zodiac – able to endure the very depths of Hell itself if they believe something is right and true in their emotional core. Scorpio Fun Fact: Here’s a shocker, do you know what sign of the zodiac most of the US Presidents were born under: it’s actually a tie between the 2 freaks of the zodiac – Aquarius and Scorpio! *Dedicated to: Every Scorpio I know because ALL of you would push me out of the way to get out first if we were both stuck in a burning building, no matter how well you knew me. 02:00:00Brad Kronennoastrology, brad kronen, zodiac, star signs, scorpioScorpio: The Phoenix That Rises From The Flames of Desire or The Vulture That Bears The Deadly Grudge? We have now reached the halfway mark of the zodiac where one turns from actions and interests based on solely the self and now incorporates “others” into the game plan. Libra rules the opposite house of the Ascendant, and the 7th house, or “Descendant” is concerned with partnerships, marriage and all one-on-one relationships in general. Now although I do say that Libras function best when they are in a stable, healthy relationship and although Libras come out of the womb with their wedding date and locale all ready chosen, this does not mean that they should lose any of their individuality by defaulting to “Honey, what do you think?” As a matter of fact, Brad heartily encourages Librans to be single for more than 4.5 minutes in order to cultivate their own Venusian gifts of natural charm, wit and effervescence! Libra Fun Fact: Referring to Brad’s jokingly (but not really) above mentioned “questions”, he is commenting on Libra’s tendency (more like state of being) to be indecisive with TRIVIAL matters. We come out of that blinding spotlight of Leo’s still rubbing our eyes to come across a very neat and tidy place freshly scoured with Ajax and Bleach – the land of VIRGO! Virgo is the first of the 3 karmic signs (Scorpio and Pisces being the other 2) and if a person is born under one of the karmic signs, their life is to be one of service to others. Virgos know this all too well since they identify themselves with their perfect (what did I tell you, there is no such thing!!!! OK OK!) Cancer is the first of the water signs but here we see that in “quality”, it now shares with Aries, the essence of being a “cardinal” sign. The cardinal signs are motivated to begin or start things, and for the Cancerian this is done maternally for either gender. For as in the animal kingdom where a mother of most species is motivated to go into action to either find or protect her home or offspring, the Cancerian will be motivated into action in regards to anything concerning their HOME or FAMILY. They are inherently maternal and will “Mommy” anyone whom they feel emotionally connected with and whether she be positive or negative, the mother of a Cancerian is one the most influential people in their life. Since Taurus is our first example they take fixed to the extreme by either being “slow and steady wins the race” pragmatists with good follow through OR having a stubborness SO immovable and mountainlike that the term "bull headed" really doesn't do it justice. The earth signs are all about the tangible - what they can see, touch, taste, feel (anything else, like o, I don’t know astrology or Tarot is voodoo hoopla!). Taurus especially focuses on the tangible in that they get security from their material possessions or tangible assets. An “evolved” focus is the business savvy Taurean who ends up in either banking or corporate real estate; and an “unevolved” focus is the upper middle class woman who drove to the supermarket in the latest model of Mercedes and is not budging in an argument with the store manager that her coupons should be honored, regardless that they are 3 months expired. So let's move closer in pasture to get a good look at these cows, I mean bull people - Taurus! Tune in Monday @ 8PM, PST. Taurus Fun Fact: Taurus, like Libra, is ruled by Venus, the planet of romance but also of aesthetics and good taste. Golden Advice - the Venus ruled signs have really good taste, and yes, probably better than yours. So save the gag, potty humor or overall cheap gift for the fire signs who don't know any better and who get quite a lot of enjoyment out of any of those 3 choices. Be warned! It is far far better to give a Taurus or a Libra a handwritten note with some daisies you just picked or even better, nothing at all than a cheap or gag gift02:00:00Brad Kronennoastrology horoscope,Taurus, zodiac brad kronen, uma thurman, peter zumthorTaurus - Pragmatic Sensualist or Stubborn Stick in the Mud? Who better to begin the “Welcome to the Zodiac” series than the sign that begins the zodiac and is used to being #1 - Aries! The spring equinox, aka the first day of spring, aka the first day of Aries, is in astrology the first day of the year. That's why whenever you look at a horoscope it always starts with people born under the sign of the Ram and proceeds to every sign after Aries. The first house which Aries naturally rules is the house of the "self". Therefore, the evolved Aries is naturally "SELF concerned" and the unevolved Aries is downright SELF-ish! Tune in on June 3rd at 8PM to learn more about the children of Mars - ARIES! Aries Astrological Fun Fact : Margaret Mitchell, author of “Gone With The Wind” was ALSO a professional astrologer and every character in that book/film are archetypes of each of the signs of the zodiac. One of the most famous heroines in both literature and film, Scarlett O’Hara was Mitchell’s representation for the sign of Aries.
