Law professor Leonard Birdsong has collected hundreds of weird and often funny stories about the law and those that break them. Host Mark H. Newhouse and Professor Birdsong discuss current legal issues and some of the crazy, insane, stupid, things criminals do in this unique interview.

BRAZIL: A lady running for city council in the town of Itacoatiara drew the attention of police who noticed a “huge” crowd gathering around her car on election day.  Officers searched the vehicle and found hundreds of her leaflets – with packages of cocaine attached. Residents said she had been giving them out in exchange for promises to vote for her.

SOUNDS LIKE THE RESIDENTS WANTED TO “BLOW” THE ELECTION!

Professor Birdsong  served as a diplomat with the State Department with various postings in Nigeria, Germany, and the Bahamas. He also worked as a federal prosecutor, first as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, and later as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the U.S. Virgin Islands. Birdsong occasionally appears as a legal commentator on FOX News and MSNBC.
