Fran Copeland writes a column for one of the few daily U.S. newspapers that is growing in circulation and which now reaches nearly 100,000 people. Her column touches upon what most of us consider insignificant details of life, but are turned into humorous or thought provoking observations. And she does this on a deadline, an example for all of us ‘time-wasters.’ Readers will find her soft-spoken reflections a welcome change from the noise that is constantly blaring at us even in print, but she does have another side.

Fran is also the author of a teen-age romance, which sold more than 90,000 copies. But her experience with this book’s publisher is instructive in how authors and publishers may have different goals and operating strategies. She also wrote a story in a comic book  (now called :-) a graphic novel)and discusses this exciting and growing field.. Two of her short stories for children may be found in Holiday Helpings, published by Court Jester Press, and available at Amazon.com, Kindle, B&N etc.

Today’s writer will benefit from Fran’s experience and her willingness to try various outlets in preparation for her upcoming book.  From Martha’s Vineyard to Florida, Fran has left a trail of fascinating views of the world.
