It's the scariest time of the year, and here to help us celebrate in style are three spooktacular horror authors.
Returning to the show is one of my favorite authors. Rami Ungar is a novelist from Columbus, Ohio specializing in horror and dark fantasy. He has published four books--The Quiet Game, Snake, Rose, and The Pure World Comes--and has a fifth book, Hannah and Other Stories, due out in 2023. He is also a founding member of the independent publisher Cracked Skull Press. When not writing, Rami enjoys reading, following his many interests, and giving his readers the impression he's not entirely human.
New to the show is Daemon Manx, an American speculative-horror author. He is a member of the Horror Writers Association and the Horror Authors Guild and has been featured in magazines in both the U.S. and the U.K. He has recently been nominated for a Splatterpunk award for his debut, Abigail in the best short story category. In 2021 he received a HAG award for his story The Dead Girl.
Also new to the show is Heather Miller. She is a writer of old-fashioned horror. She dreams of long candlelit passages and things that go bump in the night. Her writing is influenced by the old Gothics that she grew up reading, and the terrifying tales she heard at her grandmother's knee. She released her first novella, Knock Knock, in 2021, and her second book, Tales my Grandmother Told Me, in 2022.
