Black Geek Movie Talk: Rogue One - A Star Wars Story

Star Wars, Star Wars everywhere….this week we’re reviewing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Not to be confused with the any of the episodic Star Wars films, this “stand alone” story takes place after Revenge of the Sith (Episode III), right before the events of A New Hope (Episode IV). The 5th film about that galaxy far far away released in the past decade or so, some critics are lauding this as the Star Wars film for the “adult fan” the one you’ve been waiting for if you grew up with the original trilogy.... but does “grown up” automatically make a good film? Or can it mean a joyless schlep through settings and themes only vaguely familiar?  Tune in Sunday at 2 PM PST to find out if this one is worth your $20 bucks or if you should stay home and relive your youth watching A New Hope for the 444th time.
