Lady O interviews Special Secretary Luwanda Jenkins, Maryland Governor's Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA), about the MBE University, an Initiative designed as a “Road Show” conference that travels around the State providing information, training, and tools necessary for doing business with the State of Maryland . The conference kickoff with Governor O’Malley was held on December 1, 2009 in Prince George ’s County. The second conference will take place in Baltimore on May 7th and will focus on “Access to Capital” and will include a financial pavilion for minority and women-owned businesses seeking to obtain capital. The conference will travel to Southern Maryland on May 21st; Eastern Shore on June 16th, Western Maryland on July 7th, and Capital Region ( Montgomery County ) in fall 2010.
