Personal Power and Life Balance from the Inside Out with Mary Beth Ford, Ed.D.

When we consider the great forces at play in the world, the flutter of a butterfly’s wings doesn’t seem to have much power. Yet a Chinese proverb states that the power of a butterfly’s wings can be felt around the world. Modern science shows that this proverb may be literally true. The metaphor of butterfly power changes how we view our personal power and influence in the world. It reveals that our small acts can have powerful effects. It restores our belief that we can make a difference. And we find our life balance when we focus on what matters the most to us.

Dr. Mary Beth Ford is an author, an inspirational speaker, and a teacher at heart and by profession. She is the author of Wisdom from the Gardens—Life Lessons and creator of the CD Garden Wisdom—5 Ways to Grow in Life Balance and Joy. For the past 30 years Mary Beth has immersed herself in observing and learning from nature. She has followed closely the discoveries of modern science. She has looked for ways in which nature wisdom and the new science might guide our life experience. In presentations she uses garden images and connects them with life experience. She uses discoveries from modern science to empower us and improve our lives. Mary Beth helps busy people live with Spirit in the world. She shares simple rituals, inspiring stories and ways to live with inner happiness and balance.
