Located in central Kentucky, the Land of Bourbon Horses & History, Springfield is a destination on Big Blend’s Fall 2018 “Hola! To Hi Y’all Road Trip.” This historic city is the ancestral home of Abraham Lincoln’s family and is on the Kentucky Lincoln Heritage Trail, Kentucky Bourbon Trail, TransAmerica Bicycle Trail,  Barn Quilt Trail and Kentucky Fiber Trail.

Join Nancy J. Reid and Lisa D. Smith, the mother-daughter travel team and publishers of Big Blend Magazines, for Big Blend Radio’s Vacation Station travel show with Stephanie McMillin, Executive Director of the Springfield Tourism Commission. From kayaking the Beech Fork River to bird watching, bourbon tasting, shopping and dining, performing arts and festivals, and taking the Holy Land Tour of historic churches, Stephanie shares all the fun activities to enjoy in beautiful Springfield this summer.

Featured music on the show is “Holy Water” by blues artist Allison August. Photos by Mark Nally.
