Robert Arthur Stayton, author of ‘Power Shift: From Fossil Energy to Dynamic Solar Power’ discusses the future of Solar Power with Big Blend Radio hosts Nancy J. Reid & Lisa D. Smith. Robert is based in Santa Cruz County, California where he lives in a passive solar home, drives a solar-charged Plug-in Prius, heats his water with a solar water heating system, and bakes his bread in his solar oven. Robert has a master’s degree in physics and has taught college courses in physics, energy, and solar energy including at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California where he taught courses on The Fundamentals of Solar Energy, Solar Home Design, and Wind Energy. He also co-founded the research group Energy Action, co-founded the non-profit organization Energy Future Santa Cruz, served as Energy Advisor for Santa Cruz County Supervisor Pat Liberty and served on the Energy Advisory Committee for the City of Santa Cruz.
