Janet Berres was the founder and President of the International Tarot Society, from 1996-2003. She created and organized the three World Tarot
Congresses in 1997, 1999, and 2002 that changed the face of the tarot community.
A professional tarot reader and teacher for over thirty-five years, Janet has taught tarot card reading at Northeastern University, Triton College and Northwestern University, all for their continuing education departments. She co-owned and operated a metaphysical bookstore in Evanston, IL for several years and has been
thoroughly immersed in the astrology, pagan and Goddess communities for all of her adult life (and probably past lives too!).
Janet's book "Your Guide to the Tarot" is included in Llewellyn's "Tarot Kit for Beginners".
She resides in Morton Grove, IL with her two cats, her youngest son, and close enough
to her older son and daughter-in-law to babysit for the cutest grandson the Goddess
ever made! :-).
We'll discuss upcoming and past tarot conferences, have a discussion about about my reading skills (tips for readers), and Janet's tarot collection (she has 1,602 decks!) Also, enjoy Janet's Eden Gray stories (Eden was the first recipient of their Lifetime Acheivement Award).
