Annie Grace grew up in a one-room log cabin without running water or electricity outside of Aspen, Colorado. She discovered a passion for marketing and after graduating with a Masters of Science (Marketing) she dove into corporate life. At the age of 26, Annie was the youngest vice president in a multinational company, and her drinking career began in earnest. At 35, in a global C-level marketing role, she was responsible for marketing in 28 countries and drinking almost two bottles of wine a night. Knowing she needed a change but unwilling to submit to a life of deprivation and stigma, Annie set out to find a painless way to regain control. Annie no longer drinks and has never been happier. She left her executive role to write this book and share This Naked Mind with the world. In her free time, Annie loves to ski, travel (26 countries and counting), and enjoy her beautiful family. Annie lives with her husband and two sons in the Colorado mountains. https://thisnakedmind.com/ To learn more about Rob Lohman and The Addiction Recovery Hub, please visit www.TheAddictionRecoveryHub.com and www.BeyondTheBarsRadio.com 00:42:00Beyond the Bars RadionoAnnie Grace,This Naked Mind, ending the conflict between your conscious desire to drink less,Rob Lohman,Beyond The Bars RadioHow I Overcame A Decade Of Drinking By Changing My Relationship With AlcoholBrice Hancock: Mile High Sober Living: Saving Lives, One Day At A Timehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/06/05/brice-hancock-mile-high-sober-living-saving-lives-one-day-at-a-timePsychologyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/06/05/brice-hancock-mile-high-sober-living-saving-lives-one-day-at-a-time/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/06/05/brice-hancock-mile-high-sober-living-saving-lives-one-day-at-a-timeTue, 05 Jun 2018 19:00:00 GMTBrice Hancock: Mile High Sober Living: Saving Lives, One Day At A TimeBrice Hancock – Executive Director Brice is the executive director for Mile High Sober Living and an active member of Denver’s sober community. That joy has been reflected in her career and continues to be her driving force to this day. Dawn has also experienced workplace bullying and discrimination first-hand.  In 2012, Dawn reported her former government agency to the Office of Special Counsel and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for prohibited personnel practices and retaliation. As a result, her managers and co-workers turned on her, and she was subjected to two years of horrific workplace bullying and discrimination.  These years wreaked havoc on Dawn’s mental and physical health, but she persevered. Holding her workplace bullies accountable, Dawn settled with her employer outside of court. Because of her knowledge of HR and leadership skills, she has no gag order to prevent her from sharing her story to empower others who look to her for help. This experience, as well as overcoming her personal history of abuse, has strengthened Dawn’s personal mission to educate and inspire those who are or have suffered from workplace bullying and discrimination. Dawn is on the Board of Directors with Fifty Shades of Purple Against Bullying as a subject matter expert on workplace bullying and discrimination.  http://www.workplacebullyingsupport.com/ Rob Lohman  www.TheAddictionRecoveryHub.com 970-331-4469   00:31:00Beyond the Bars Radionodawn westmoreland, the empowered whistleblower, rob lohman,Interventionist, addictionDawn Westmoreland: The Empowered Whistleblower : Getting over victimhoodMo Michael & Timmy Michael : Compass Recovery Center : Helping addicts recoverhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/04/30/mo-michael-timmy-michael-compass-recovery-center-helping-addicts-recoverSelf Helphttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/04/30/mo-michael-timmy-michael-compass-recovery-center-helping-addicts-recover/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/04/30/mo-michael-timmy-michael-compass-recovery-center-helping-addicts-recoverMon, 30 Apr 2018 20:30:00 GMTMo Michael & Timmy Michael : Compass Recovery Center : Helping addicts recoverMo Michael BS, BHT – Program Director Maureen “Mo” started working in the treatment field in 2008 where she first started as a residential house manager. A loving wife, two children, and a supportive extended family. In 2010, he launched a lifestyle magazine in his hometown. Within a year, he was one of the founders of Central Maine's largest film festival and had won a seat on his City Council. Accolades, including receiving the Key to the City and being called one of the "Next 10 People Shaping Maine's Economy" by a state newspaper followed. While the public got one picture of Shea, behind closed doors, his longtime mental health and addiction issues were festering. A workaholic by nature, he actively ignored the red flags surrounding his long-existing ography and alcohol problems. Finding it easier to lose himself in a bottle of tequila and adult websites, Shea's relationships with his family, colleagues, and friends grew distant. His business ventures began to collapse. Life as he knew it came to a screeching halt when he was arrested on a charge of underage ography possession in 2014. Shea was convicted and served six months in jail in early 2016. Following his arrest, he sought help and treatment through intense one-on-one therapy, group therapy, and at inpatient rehab facilities. He has been sober almost four years. Bothered at the lack of quality resources and open discussion around the topic of ography addiction, Shea is now sharing with the public his experience with the addiction in the hope he can help people to not head down the same road that he did. Shea recounts the last several years of his life leading up to his legal trouble and how his poor judgment and bad decision making led to a life he never thought was possible www.RecoveringAddict.com   00:45:00Beyond the Bars RadionoPorn addiction,Intervention,Addiction, rob Lohman,Lifted from the rutHow My ography Addiction Hurt People and Destroyed Relationships133263b2-3721-405c-a926-3afc106ba290Highly Functional: Addiction, Recovery, Prison Fellowship with Craig Derochehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/02/09/highly-functional-addiction-recovery-prison-fellowship-with-craig-derocheSelf Helphttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/02/09/highly-functional-addiction-recovery-prison-fellowship-with-craig-deroche/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondthebarsradio/2018/02/09/highly-functional-addiction-recovery-prison-fellowship-with-craig-derocheFri, 09 Feb 2018 20:30:00 GMTHighly Functional: Addiction, Recovery, Prison Fellowship with Craig DerocheHighly Functional: Addiction, Recovery, Prison Fellowship with Craig Deroche CRAIG DEROCHE Senior Vice President, Advocacy & Public Policy Craig DeRoche joined Prison Fellowship several years ago as the director of external affairs for the organization’s advocacy arm, Justice Fellowship. He was the youngest statewide Republican leader in the country and was elected Michigan Speaker of the House, but in 2010, after serving a full tenure in the state legislature, DeRoche made national headlines with two alcohol-related arrests. It was only after his arrests, rehabilitation, and a renewed focus on his Christian faith that DeRoche escaped from his life-long struggle with alcoholism. He has been sober since 2010. DeRoche’s first book,Highly Functional, released in May 2015, is a memoir of his life transitioning from addiction to recovery. With a population of less than 5,000 people and heavily populated by immigrant migrant workers he witnessed and encountered a unique blend of cultures and work ethics. In addition, being raised by a hard working single mother and grandmother, it became evident to Leo at an early age that nobody just gives you anything in life. He witnessed his mother work two and three shifts daily for years, as well as be mistreated by friends, family, and the church community, in addition to his grandmother working just as hard for years to help make ends meet. As Leo matured being the oldest of 8 children, he was naturally forced to grow up at an early age and do whatever it took to assist his parents in feeding their family and learned what it meant to lead by example in school, in life, and on the athletic fields. …Present day Leo works feverishly to establish a counseling practice that works to serve as a light in the darkness for individuals regardless of their race, gender, socio-economic status, and culture that will teach and guide individuals to overcoming diagnosed and un-diagnosed mental health challenges as well as getting past rough spots through their personal and professional lives. Speaking as a father of two beautiful sons, co-parent & partner to a remarkable woman, and son and brother to an awesome family Leo challenges you to step outside your box and embrace change welcome knowledge, love, and wisdom into your life.
