Brian has spent almost 30 years in the fields of corporate investigations & various disciplines in intelligence. Brian started his career in the US Army’s military intelligence corps working for two Special Forces groups throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and throughout Southeast Asia. Upon leaving the military after 11 years of active-duty service, Brian worked as a Senior Consultant and Subject Matter Expert two of the US Government’s largest intelligence agencies. His areas of expertise include corporate human capital due diligence, intelligence operations and asset recruitment, propaganda and counterpropaganda, competitive intelligence, and more. He has been a guest speaker at numerous corporate and business intelligence seminars and has been an instructor for courses focused on social engineering, information elicitation, self-defense, covert surveillance, and counter surveillance as well as counter espionage. He has taught or spoken on these subjects at numerous Libertarian student organizations mainly in Eastern Europe. He also was a guest instructor twice at the Human Rights Foundation’s Oslo Freedom Forum, Oslo, Norway. Brian holds three undergraduate degrees and a Master of Criminology (Depth: White Collar Crime) from Boston University. He is also a graduate of the Modern Standard Arabic 2-year intensive language program at the Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey, California. Brian is married to the non-fiction author and civil liberties activist Dr Naomi Wolf and the two of them live in both New York and Massachusetts.
