Host Adam Burke had a lot to say regarding this week in the Westgate SuperContest and the Circa Sports Million. After a quick intro and a reminder about what you can find this and every weekend at BangTheBook, he launched into his Week 8 picks, leans, and the supporting evidence to form those opinions. Adam had three picks and a set of five leans from which this week’s card is likely to come.Some of the leans are likely to surprise you, as some pretty ugly teams and some tough bets make the list, but that may just be the way to go this week with so many big favorites on the betting card. The picks probably won’t surprise you as much, but stats, situational analysis, and some pretty good talking points followed each of Adam’s picks and leans.

Brent, the head risk manager down at DSI Sportsbook, is always a fun guest on the program and The Odds Report can be a tremendously helpful segment. Adam and Brent talked about sharp money in both the college football and NFL betting markets for this weekend. Several sides and totals were talked about in college, including lesser games with sharp money like San Jose State vs. Army, and the marquee games like Wisconsin vs. Ohio State, Auburn vs. LSU, and Notre Dame vs. Michigan. NFL sides and totals have been moving around as well and those games could still be on the rise or the decline as we head into Sunday
