Host Adam Burke spent a touch longer on the intro today to talk about what we have and what will soon be coming at BangTheBook.com and also told listeners about all the places where they can get BangTheBook Radio. Then, it was time for the Week 7 SuperContest Segment. Adam gave some updates and some thoughts on the SuperContest and the Circa Million to begin the segment. It’s a tough card and a tough week, but he managed to find three picks and a set of leans from which his five-play card is likely to come. He talked about his three most confident sides and then the set of leans with statistical supporting evidence, spot considerations, and the injury updates from this week in the NFL to help listeners get a big picture of what we’re working with on Sunday and Monday.

Brent, the head risk manager down at DSI Sportsbook, joined Adam for this week’s version of The Odds Report. The guys started with some chatter about balancing risk for a daily league like the NBA and how it contrasts with a week’s worth of balancing risk in the NFL and college football. But, as usual, the guys primarily focused on the gridiron. Sharp money has hit the board in both college football and the NFL. Sides and totals were present in CFB, including some interesting action for a Friday game and then Saturday’s Michigan vs. Penn State. There were a lot of totals on the NFL side of the spectrum with sharp action, but sides in those games were also discussed, including Eagles vs. Cowboys.
