Kayla Taylor is a 12-year Family and Consumer Sciences teacher in Kansas. She has a passion for helping parents and students understand what Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses are and how they are evolving to meet the needs of today's society. A conversation with a student helped Mrs. Taylor delve into exploring how Career and Technical Education courses at the high school level can help students wishing to enter the military. This led Mrs. Taylor to investigate how high school students in military families can receive training in programs that often take multiple years when those families are often times moving. Tune in to hear more about her findings and gather information to equip your student by taking CTE courses in high school on a potential path to joining the military.
