Our guest is Katherine Agranovich, a native of Minsk in Western Russia near the Polish border, a town that was devastated by the Nazis in WWII. In 1992, at the age of 22, she emigrated to the United States with her family to escape unrelenting discrimination against Jews, which ranged from bullying as a child to being barred from medical school despite having achieved the highest grades.
A feisty, yet deeply spiritual woman, Katherine is on a mission to share the remarkable insights she has received through her family members, both living and passed on. Her first book Tales of My Large, Loud, Spiritual Family: Finding Peace, Purpose and Healing in the Chaos of Daily Life, recounts her ‘American Dream’ life with her husband Felix and their five children, and her journey of discovery about life, healing and being open-minded about things of the spirit.
