Host Tina Susedik of Your Book Garden presents James Bradbury.
Jamey Bradbury is the author of The Wild Inside, a book about Alaska, murder, dog sledding, hunting, family, good dogs, smart dogs, loyal dogs, love, secrets, a nd also dogs. Jamey has two cats. Her work has appeared in Black Warrior Review, Sou’wester, and Zone 3. She won an Estelle Campbell Memorial Award from the National Society of Arts and Letters. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 2002 but kept leaving to join the Peace Corps, work in Vermont, and go to graduate school. The important part, though, is that she came back. If you're ever in Anchorage, she recommends Spenard Roadhouse for drinks, Bear Tooth Theater Pub for movies and burritos, and Eagle and Symphony Lakes for hiking. She hails originally from Illinois.
In Alaska, the winters are long and dark, the land untamed. Tracy Petrikoff has always loved her family's remote home and he parents' business training and racing sled dogs; cold days out in the woods on a sled, warm nights inside by the fire, a family built of four hardworking humans and forty willing dogs. It seemed only a matter of time before Tracy's father won the Iditarod - and perhaps, not too long after, Tracy herself would win. Will the dark inside her prevent this from happening?
Tina Susedik is an award-winning, Amazon best-selling, multi-published author with books in both fiction and non-fiction, including history, children’s, military books and romances. Her favorite is writing romance stories where her characters live happily ever after. Tina also writes spicier romance as Anita Kidesu. She lives in northwestern Wisconsin where winters are long, summers short, and spring and fall beautiful.
