Author Richard Keller stops by the Author Chat show to 'chat' about his book, Coffee Cup Tales: stories inspired by overheard conversations at the coffee shop
About the book:
Coffee. Consumed by two people at a small table in a local cafe it leads to conversation. Sometimes the talk is hushed. Other times, thanks to multiple cups of coffee and perhaps a pastry, volume and animated descriptions increase. And this is when the author catches snippets that make a wonderful subject for a story.
This is how Coffee Cup Tales: stories inspired by overheard conversations at the coffee shop came to fruition. At first, these conversations distracted me from other projects. However, I eventually realized the conversations were filled with story ideas -- the difference between dates and dating, using your hand to cover a cough, asking God's permission to join the WWE. Coffee Cup Tales provides stories on all of these topics.
About the author:
Richard Keller is the author of "Coffee Cup Tales," founder of Wooden Pants Publishing, and host of the literary talk show Between the Pages and The Leap Podcast. Richard has written over two thousand articles over the last three decades for various media outlets. Richard currently resides in Northern Colorado with his wife and five children. In his spare time, Richard likes to read, travel, perform Improv, and sleep in a sensory deprivation chamber to get at least one minute of peace.
