Software Audit Essentials - Sharing Software on multiple computers, laptops, and servers (in violation of the EULA).

In today's modern tech world many software publishers are embedding "phone home" beacons in their software (which is usually set forth in their EULA to avoid invasion of privacy claims).  But these beacons can track usage within your company and if you are "over-installing" or sharing software to be used on multiple laptops, PC's, MACs, servers, etc. in violation of the EULA, you can be accused of software piracy (i.e. copyright infringement), and face getting a legal demand letter from an IP copyright law firm seeking thousands of dollars in damages.  This can be very stressful, and lead to a public federal court case.

In this episode of "Vondran Legal Hour" Attorney Steve® discusses this issue that all companies both large and small need to take into consideration as part of their SAM practices.

If you received a letter from any of the below companies (whether an audit or investigation letter) contact us to discuss your case.  We are a leader in the field of software audits in the United States having handled hundreds of cases.  In this area of law, there is no substitute for experience and having working relationships in place:
