Depth Psychology Alliance is free to join for anyone interested in Jungian and depth psychology and currently has nearly 2500 members from all over the world. Bonnie provides depth psychology media and educational content on her podcast, Depth Insights and serves as Exeutive Editor of the semi-annual scholarly e-zine of the same name. She recently founded www.DepthPsychologyList.com, an online database to find or list depth psychology-oriented therapists and practitioners. She holds Masters degrees in Psychology and Depth Psychology, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA, where she is writing her dissertation on Culture Collapse Disorder.   00:30:00Assisi InstitutenoPatterns we Live by,Jung,Michael Conforti,Depth Psychology Alliance,Bonnie BrightOur lives are  deeply influenced by the  workings of archetypes, and the patterns that  express their meaning.  It was Jung's work on the Objective PsycheThe Archetype of the Whistle blowerhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/03/25/the-archetype-of-the-whistle-blowerPsychologyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/03/25/the-archetype-of-the-whistle-blower/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/03/25/the-archetype-of-the-whistle-blowerMon, 25 Mar 2013 15:00:00 GMTThe Archetype of the Whistle blower Throughout Jung's life and work, he spoke of the moral imperative, which calls us to address actions which  harm others.    In this presentation, Dr. Deb Greenwood,  artist, consultant and Pattern Analyst, will present her original and profound work on the presence and workings of this archetype in modern culture. In particular, she will address the  creative  response of Daniel Ellsberg to the atrocities of the Vietnam War, and how yet again, we too are being  called by this archetype of truth telling.   This is a powerful presentation on a topic  we all  now have to wrestle with, and will help us understand the patterns of this meaningful archetypal dominant in the individual and collective psyche. 00:31:00Assisi Institutenoarchetype, patterns, whistle blower, morality,JungThroughout Jung's life and work, he spoke of the moral imperative, which calls us to address actions which  harm others.    In this presentation, Dr. Deb GreeArchetypal shifts in the Catholic Churchhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/03/08/archetypal-shifts-in-the-catholic-churchPsychologyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/03/08/archetypal-shifts-in-the-catholic-church/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/03/08/archetypal-shifts-in-the-catholic-churchFri, 08 Mar 2013 18:00:00 GMTArchetypal shifts in the Catholic Church The sudden resignation of the Pope  speaks to a dramatic archetypal shift in the nature of the Catholic Church.    In this interview with Father Bruce Teague, a leading theologian and Catholic Priest for more than thirty (30) years  we will discuss the archetypal, and spiritual meaning of the events occuring withn the church.   In his ongoing work in  understanding and articulating the  patterns occuring in  our world, as reflections of  psyches movements,   Dr. Conforti will brings us to yet another level  of understanding of Psyches presence and effect in individual and collecltive concerns.   00:20:00Assisi InstitutenoArchetypes,Catholic Church,The Pope,Michael Conforti,PatternsThe sudden resignation of the Pope  speaks to a dramatic archetypal shift in the nature of the Catholic Church.    In this interview with Father Bruce Teague,Patterns of Trauma, Patterns of Violence: Oscar Pistoriushttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/02/21/patterns-of-trauma-patterns-of-violence-oscar-pistoriusPsychologyhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/02/21/patterns-of-trauma-patterns-of-violence-oscar-pistorius/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/assisi-institute/2013/02/21/patterns-of-trauma-patterns-of-violence-oscar-pistoriusThu, 21 Feb 2013 18:00:00 GMTPatterns of Trauma, Patterns of Violence: Oscar PistoriusHe who journeys to Hell also becomes Hell                       C.G. All human beings throughout time, across space and culture, instinctively store experience instinctively in story form. Story is one way spirit takes shape in matter; psyche becomes conscious in us in stories. As I have written recently in my public journal on my website, human beings are hard wired for story and story telling. Our internal conversations are programed to speak in the language of story. What I mean is this. Our mental patterning, the we we store, process, plan and remember, is organized as narrative. It is often difficult to become present enough, conscious enough, to yourself to see what that story, that myth, is. For now, just consider that every experience a person has is stored in the form of a story. The rose on the dining room table has a story; what happened at school or the office today is stored and shared as a story; even a complex scientific principle, such as E=MC2 is telling a story. "Each of us has her or his story. One's personal myth engenders meaning, and grounds her or him in the center of her or his life as nothing else can. The problem is, many people do not know what their story is, or they know it only partially. In psychotherapy we work with stories...When we reflect on the great stories that have withstood the test of time, we gather the "prima materia," the archetypal and instructive background of the narrative structure within the inner story. 00:30:00Assisi InstitutenoAssisi Institute, story archetype, mental patterning, psychotherapy,Michael ConfortiExperience is stored as story.
