Gail Castle is currently the Development Officer for
The Franklin County Humane Society and Animal Harbor
Shelter in Franklin County TN. She received her
Bachelor's Degree in Music from Belmont University in
1991, where she also did her post graduate studies in
Vocal Performance from 1996 – 1998.
Gail has professionally worked in the nonprofit
arena
for 22 years. Gail grew up with Mountain T.O.P. and was
the Director of Adults In Ministry from 1990 – 2003.
She received a certificate in fund raising and
development from The Center for Nonprofit Management in
Nashville, TN. in 2004 and then became the Director of
Development for Mountain T.O.P. that same year.
In year 2000, Gail cofounded
LEAMIS International
Ministries which is now in its 14th year of ministry.
Gail served as the Workshop Coordinator for the
National ShortTerm
Missions Conference from 2005 –
2009 and has led many short term mission trips to
Central America, Asia, and several countries of Africa.
Gail has a personal story of child sexual abuse and in
January of 2013, she started a support group for women
survivors of child sexual abuse for the South
Cumberland Plateau and surrounding counties. She
received a Certificate of Completion for the Steward of
Children course from the Darkness to Light organization
in February 2013.
Gail is seriously passionate and advocates for the
Prevention of child sexual abuse and believes it is
important to talk about it, help people to learn the
facts about it, and become a part of the efforts in
prevention so that generations of children to come do
not have to grow up with the horrible memories and
constant fight to survive the trauma.
