FROM THE SCHOOLMASTER TO THE SAVIOR- 11/11/18

Introduction to Romans: "From  Shadows to Substance"

"Before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our Schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a Schoolmaster." (Galatians 3:23-25)

"For the law, having a SHADOW of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect…Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a BODY You have prepared for Me." (Hebrews 10:1, 5)

"Therefore let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ." (Colossians 2:16-17)

Did Christ's death on the cross ONLY fulfill the Sacrificial Law? Are the 10 Commandments to seen as, and to be kept separate from the rest of God's Law. Did Jesus and/or any of his Apostles or Prophets treat it as such. Are Christians required to keep the Mosaic Law in any form? Join as I address these questions from God's Word.
