https://perceivingpossibilities.com Hi! I’m Kay Burnham. I spent over 30 years working in the administrative side of the Entertainment Industry. I started answering a customer service line and worked my way up to a vice president position overseeing multiple departments with over 450 staff and volunteers. During those 30 years, I spent twenty in senior leadership and went to school to earn Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I also became a mindfulness practitioner and studied the scientific evidence around its many benefits. Over the years, as my meditation practice deepened, I saw benefits that extended beyond reducing my stress and improving my health. My leadership also began to evolve, and I started speaking at conferences on the benefits of bringing mindfulness to your leadership. After speaking at a conference in 2019, I had the realization that I could help more people by starting my own company working with leaders directly. Now, I use my years of professional experience, education, and practice to support leaders in up-leveling both their well-being and their leadership and help them create working environments where employees feel valued, engaged, and belong. I believe that awareness is the key to being a great leader and the most successful leaders start with self-awareness. Using the principles of positive psychology coupled with mindfulness practices, I help leaders recognize and activate their unique strengths, develop their emotional intelligence, and create the life-work balance they desire.
