Chinese Espionage Not Being Taken Seriously with Frank Vernuccio is our guest on The Core Business Show with Tim Jacquet. A recent Department of Defense report outlines China's accelerated use of illegally acquired dual-use military-related information, as well as data stolen by espionage. Despite denials by the Chinese government, United States security experts feel the threat presented by the Chinese is significant highlighting the fact that a great number of cyber-hacking originates in China. Yet amid these reports, the Obama administration has reduced the importance of counter-intelligence against China and has placed the Commerce Department in charge of overseeing control of sensitive information being exported.
